The 2002 class "experience" was a short weekend on the island of Lanai, emphasizing relaxation, culture and quality time.
The weekend headquarters was the unique atmosphere and special surroundings of the Lodge at Koele.
These were First Class accomodations and that were arranged for at very special rates.
MISSION STATEMENT: Bond, love, relax and laugh as we again enjoyed each others company while learning and growing from our experiences together.
Simeon Alo recaps: Like all our Islands, Lanai is Special. The Lodge @ Koele is simply beautiful. It's a modern day step back in time to a place that has a majestic restful feeling. It brings peacefulness to one's heart. Our '69 Classmates, friends, & ohana enjoyed these last few wonderful summer days and nites full of the joy of friendship, hospitality, prayers, songs, food, laughter, and the magic of sharing time together.
We experienced many little windows of specialness which Lanai had to offer.
Mahalo, all our Lanai classmates, especially Sol & Donna for your kokua and hospitality in making our Lanai experience as unigue and memoriable as all our gatherings are- They're "Special".
A special mahalo to the Horner's, Roy & Paul, for arranging & coordinating our activities from Molokai & Manele.

Friday nite's Bar-B-Q-gathering @ John & Donna's beautiful house-(mahalo Sol, Uncle Les Kulolio, & Walter for your prayer/blessings). We sang-( The Ladies were simply amazing, their singing-WOW-Angelic-special-had to be there moment)-( ah- us guys neva had Wayne Chang so-we tried but-[no can talk]; we laughed-(Kimo & Lani were sooooo funny-our ribs hurt from laughing so hard), we ate, we enjoyed, we had a wonderful evening.

Saturday Putting Championships @ Ko'ele. Mahalo Roy, Tuddie, Billie & Leighton, Kimo & Jan, Walter & Eda, Tomi & Noa, Les & Lynn, & Sol, for all your help & prize donations making this a fun introduction to the Wonderful World of Golf a happening. We had 32 participants, many of them "New" & hopefully "Hooked" first timers that never puttered a-round before!!! The 9-hole putting Championship was indeed a Challenge-full of fun & laughter. Mahalo Billie for the pocket cameras, 69'er's share your pictures for all our "Kodak" moments on Lanai on our class web-site.
Who won? Well everybody of course!! T-shirts, Golf balls & shirts, hats. Special Mahalo's to Leslie & Curtis Wilmington for donating the Hawaiian Accessory Koa Gitfs.

Saturday nite @ the Lodge was simply "Enchanting"!! Haunani's selection of song's in the Grand Hall for everyone there was unforgettable. She sang, Nancy danced, Mike's spontaneous duet, beautiful, special, wish you were there moments.

Sunday morning as we were group-picture taking at the front of the Lodge and saying our good-by's and the bus was finally loaded
