Aloha Kakou:

We had a wonderful time at the Maui reunion and want to send a special thank you to all who worked so hard to make it happen. The company, food, music and beauty of Maui were outstanding.

Each evening to our right, there was a beautiful sunset and to the left, the mesmerizing full moon. Surrounded by the fragrant plumeria, cool breezes and sounds of the ocean was almost magical. When you think about it, what we all experienced was what some wait all their lives to enjoy. How lucky we are!

Favorite moments were; Share time. Go-go dancers. Mustang Sally. Lei making lessons. Music and food. Probably easier to mention least favorite moments; Eddie's refusal to call Walter for directions. I was getting so car sick. Anyway, we both laughed so much with everyone's share stories. Now I know why my bras don't fit.

Michelle, thank you so much for teaching us how to make the leis. I brought mine home as a gift for our Lahela. When she put it on she looked so beautiful. The Ali'i colors on her golden brown skin, dark eyes and hair took my breath away. She treasures the lei and plans on wearing it at her graduation from college this spring.

I was so happy that Eddie joined the slack key guitar class. He really did have fun and who knows, he may try to keep it up. He did forget to pick up one of the practice books so if anyone as an extra one, please let us know.

Walter you made me older. I am a 1970 graduate of Radford. You know us girls, we have to hang on to every year that makes us appear younger.

Now to you Gerald Lee. It touched Eddie's heart to see his old friend and to see you happy with a loving wife and involved in building a legacy with your son. Please do not be a stranger. It is a good thing to share life with those who knew us when we were young, beautiful, and strong.

Kamehameha and all of you helped to shape Eddie and make him the person he is today. He is a wonderful, intelligent, giving and loving person. I am lucky to have him as my husband and father to our children. I feel in my heart that you are all a part of his collective being and I thank you.

We look forward to next year and hope to bring our two daughters. Until then, thank you for a wonderful time.

Aloha,
Eddie and Linda Ho'okano Ah Sam
