| July 29, 2001, Hokulani Holt Padilla participated in a rare hula kuahu ceremony in Hilo this week for the 1st Annual World Conference on Hula. Hoku is one of the most respected Kumu Hulas in all Hawaii. The event was written up in the July 30 issue of the Star-Bulletin with Hoku appearing in the photo (She's up front and to the left, we can barely see her face as she is to the left of Keali'i Reichel). . |

| July 5, 2001, met Al Willing at the Mapulehua Mango Patch with wife Jonny and ohana. They went up to the Iliiliopae Heiau. Since John Kaimikaua was in Kona, Bruddah Roy gave the "background". |
