| Bobby Lu gives the "official story". Here's what DJ has to add... Donnette and I played hookey on Thursday and drove from Olympia, Washington down to Bobby Lu's house in Portland. That afternoon, we learned that Bobby Lu had bought a Steam Bullet, the kind you see on TV, so naturally, we had to have her demonstrate how to use it. We steam cleaned her stove, sink, and counters. | Doesn't take much to make us happy. I don't remember Bobby Lu mentioning in her accounts that Saturday was her birthday. In her honor, Donnette and I took her to Starbucks for breakfast, and to Burger King for lunch (sorry, no photos, must use imagination). She also received a birthday balloon with the words "Aged to perfection", which she good naturedly took to the luau with her and kept at our table. We told her that the luau was going to be in her honor and that we had invited a few other people to attend. We also told her not to worry about the fact that she wouldn't know most of the people at her party. It was easy to trick her...after all, she is older than us. Cannot tell you about some of the things that happened during this trip 'cause we have to protect the "guilty." Be assured, however, that we had enough fun to last us a long, long time.
