Mahalo to everyone that made it (Saturday June 8) to my CD pre-release party for my new album entitled "Ko`olau". We had about sixty invited guests there with a good number of walk-ins over the two forty five minute sets that Ozzie and I played. Walt, Eda, Lorraine, Alexis, Gerry Lam and his guest represented the class of sixty-nine. I do have several pictures of the event and will send them soon.

My students up at UH consider this old style, I correct them and tell them its classic style, but you know, we were all kids once and I remember telling my father "Dad,that's old style" -- yet another chapter in the circle of life.

On the menu we had pipi kaula (from Haili’s, the best of course), raw fish, sushi, Paniolo Popcorn (once again the best of course,from my brother’s kettles) and soft drinks.
