Bobby Lu's Punalu'u Bash, March 3, 2001It's always been said that Bobby Lu makes the best parties, and this is from the 3rd grade until TODAY!!! Mahalo Gail Ferreira Ahina, Janice Lopez Akau & Kane Kaniala, Mugs Akiona, Simeon & Lorraine Alo, Cadie Alu Sitch, Lani Bowman, Wayne Chang, Gilbert "Hole in One" Chee, Neal "Who are you?" Chung, Darrylnn Aiana & Merle Ferreira '70, Jack "Look so young" Hao, Rita Hoopii-Hall, Nalei Kanoho Harris, Walt & Edwarda Kaneakua, Roxanne Serrao (Know all the oldies words) Kau, Roz "My Right Arm" Solomon, Bobby Lu Nary & Neil Kniskern, Haunani Keahi Koahou, Gerry Lam, Rickey "Kealoha" Pa, Harry "Tuddie" Purdy (brought his 50th Birthday Colorful Sign and hung it up between the coconut trees), Bridget Pua Ruane and her Kane Joe Kaniaupio (Marshall's brother), Nancy Brede & Mike Souza, Sam Tollefson, Randy "The Silicone Memory" and Blossom Tong, Kali Watson, Curtis Wilmington, Roy and Faith Horner, Bobby Lu's mom Ruth, her youngest sister and her child, and two couples from Oregon who went to college with Neil at Oregon State.

Mahalo to you all and your "mana" because the spirit of Love and Fellowship was so strong.......mahalo a nui loa. THE EVENT WAS SO MUCH FUN! As we were sitting on the beach side, talking or eating and then someone walks in from either side of the home and man it feels so good to see each other. Lots of aloha, embracing......Man, must be something when you get back to heaven and your family just embrace you......Hey, NOT NOW MAN!!! BRUDDAH JACK HAO looked so great! Trim, handsome, clean cut and boy Jack, thanks for the 20 minute aerobics you gave me because I was laughing and shaking......YOU ARE FUNNY MAN!!! Jack was looking at the MME 2000 PHOTOS and trying to guess who everyone was!!! Neal Chung spent the entire afternoon saying, "Hi I'm Neal........whhhhooooo are you?" He was funny! Everyone told him, "Neal, you were so busy in your books in high school that you never looked at everyone and now you are trying to figure it out!" CAYDIE & GAIL......what a choice experience for Faithy (Kamaka) Horner to have her Kenny's BurgerHouse Amigos join us on Saturday... Thanks so much for making the time to be there!!! PUA FLEW IN from Maui and I think turned in two coupons of Island Air Tickets to bring some Dry Ahi and Dry Aku. That was mean!!! So generous! Mahalo Sam & Lorraine for the Dry Fish! Ono! THE BAKED SALMON by Lorraine would have been a WINNER at Sam Choy's Food Contest. It was a huge slab but at the end, we had to scrape the parts of what was left. Mahalo for always being so generous. ALL THE FOOD WAS "Rocket2Pluto" in rating. Thanks to Bobby Lu's preparation and the many kind hands. We gotta say a BIG MAHALO to Nancy because she donated the papergoods, made the cakes for the Birthday Babies, Cake for the special couple celebrating 30 years marriage this month (Randy and Blossom)....We stood in a circle, held hands and sang the Doxology in Hawaiian before we ate....."chicken skin."
Everybody was up to tricks too.....when Bruddah Roy came out of the outside Sanitol, there were cameras ready to take my photos (though we're forbidden from publishing any here on the web).....plenty laughs.
